Dr. Mark Benn is a licensed psychologist and assistant adjunct professor at Colorado State University who received his doctorate from the University of Northern Colorado in counseling psychology in 1986. He is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed his Bachelors Degree at Shippensburg University.
He completed an internship at The Ohio State University and began his professional career there where he worked as a psychologist and in private practice from 1986 – 1991.
Following his time in Ohio he returned to Colorado and continued his career as a psychologist, professor and consultant to numerous businesses in the area of mediation and work place cultures.
In addition to being the father of five children, Mark has traveled nationally for the past 20 years as a diversity trainer, mediator and conference keynote presenter. He has conducted workshops and consulted on such topics as multi-cultural education, rape education, AIDS awareness, parenting and work place mediation and team building. He has spoken at over 100 colleges and universities. He is frequently invited for return engagements as his reputation spreads across a campus as a powerful speaker who is both educational and entertaining.
